The “Vasile Pârvan” National Symposium took place at Bacău on the 2nd – 3rd October 2014,
coordinated by the staff of “Iulian Antonescu” Museum Complex. The symposium gathered a wide range of historians, debuting with a festive lecture, that of Professor Nicolae Ursu from “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, followed by the launch of two scientific books. The works of the symposium were grouped in three sections: archaeology, history, museology & historic figures. The project "Roman Border in Eastern Dacia Province" PN-II-ID-PCE-2011-3-0652, contract nr. 339/5.10.2011. was represented by dr. habil. Alexandru Popa, who presented a work called “The dilemmas of ethnical interpretation of the south-east European archaeological artefacts from the first half of the 1st millennium A.D.”. The vast issue of ethnical interpretation of the Roman Limes from the Carpathian-Danube-Pontic area was one of the reference subjects of this presentation.
