The “Vasile Pârvan” National Symposium



The “Vasile Pârvan” National Symposium took place at Bacău on the 7th – 9th October 2015, coordinated by the staff of “Iulian Antonescu” Museum Complex. The symposium gathered a wide range of historians, debuting with a festive lecture, that of Mr. Ioan Mitrea called “The centenary of Mircea Petrescu Dâmbovița’s birth – the creator of the Moldavian archaeology school from Iași”, preceded by the launch of two books.
The works of the symposium were grouped in three sections: archaeology, history, museology & historic figures. The project "Roman Border in Eastern Dacia Province" PN-II-ID-PCE-2011-3-0652 was represented by dr. habil. Alexandru Popa, who presented a work called “The issue of the double wall from the roman camp at Brețcu: contributions brought by recent magnetometric researches”.
