The "Roman Border in Eastern Dacia Province" project's primary purpose is raising Romania's international scientific competiveness trough acquiring new technologies in archaeological field research. With the help of national and international partners we aim to transfer the know-how from Germany to Romania, using the National Museum of Eastern Carpathians as a communication channel. The project's main objectives are:
investigations in the Archaeology and History of Roman Provinces
developing at Sfântu Gheorghe a performing research team consisting of highly qualified personnel
building a technological and material foundation for innovative research of the Roman borders of Dacia Province
highlighting the scientific potential in the Eastern Carpathian area and developing a pilot project, which facilitates the preparation of a „Framework Programm 7” project in partnership with colleagues from other EU countries.
